Tutorial – “My First Kwik Model House”

This super kwik tutorial video (18 minutes) is a start-to-finish walk through of all the basic features of Kwik Model 3D Duct Draw (BETA) performed on a really basic house. A great introduction for first time users. It goes from importing and scaling a floor plan to auto sizing the ducts. Download the step-by-step instructions and floor plan (below) to follow along on your own computer. (Note: this video shows the 3D duct draw version of Kwik Model. The newer “Kwik Model with EnergyGauge Loads” is similar, but has many more features.)

Tutorial – Basic Overview of Kwik Model 3D Duct design

This video goes over all of the basic features of Kwik Model 3D Duct Design. This is the best video to watch first after getting it installed on your computer. It’s a little long, but beats reading a boring user manual. Each mode (Floor Plan, Field Draw, Room and Windows, Duct Draw, Roof, and Tables) will each have their own tutorial video. (Note: this video shows the 3D duct draw version of Kwik Model. The newer “Kwik Model with EnergyGauge Loads” is similar, but has many more features.)

Tutorial (updated)- How to Import and Scale Floor Plan

This video shows you more detail on how to create a simplified image file that can be imported into Kwik Model and used as the template to create your 3D model. It shows you how to scale the image in the X and Y directions. It shows you how to set the default heights (elevations) of the first floor floor, the first floor rooms, the second floor floor joists, the second floor rooms, and the truss heal heights, if any.

Tutorial – How to Place Rooms and Windows

This video shows you more detail on how to place rooms over the scaled floor plan, size them, add vaulted ceilings and then place windows, doors and skylights on the rooms. Be sure to watch Tutorial #1 and #2 first. (Note: this video shows the 3D duct draw version of Kwik Model. The newer “Kwik Model with EnergyGauge Loads” is similar, but has many more features.)
